Bookworms meet at Burraton Methodist Church on the 1st Monday of each month (except August and Bank Holidays) 2 to 4pm. We discuss a book we have read the previous month (usually supplied by the Library), have refreshments and share information about other books we have read.
We are an informal, friendly group of 8 to 10 people. We take turns with the refreshments. Recent books have been Fair Stood the Wind for France, The Good Liar, Alan Turing: The Enigma and The Morville Hours.
Over the past couple of years, we had one session where we each read a different book by the same author (Ian McEwan) and shared our findings, another where we each shared a favourite piece of poetry and another where we got together with Plymstock U3A bookgroup for lunch and a joint discussion.
