Strummers And Warblers
Venue: Saltash Social Club, Fore St. {Downstairs room}
When: 1st and 3rd Thursday each month.
Time: 2 pm to 4pm
The group’s aim is to enjoy learning and performing music together.
The Strummers are U3A members who have played a guitar before and who would like to resume playing regularly again, with others, to improve their skills. It doesn’t matter how “rusty” you think are. Some commitment to practice at home is important, but members also find learning in a group useful, as we help each other. At present we play acoustic guitars.
The Warblers are U3A members who enjoy singing songs, accompanied by a guitar. A “good” singing voice is not a requirement to enjoy singing along to popular songs because we believe that there is no such thing as a “wrong” note: just different ones! Singing in a group has many benefits and we often laugh as we learn and perform together.
Fees: Room hire means there are term fees in addition to U3A membership.
