The Strummers Guitar group is for members who want to learn to play the guitar, or who may have played in the past and would like to again. The ability to read music is not necessary to learn to play a guitar. Members have a variety of guitars, some bought and some inherited from siblings, some are acoustic guitars with either nylon or steel strings and an electric guitar. We learn the chords (combinations of notes in finger shapes) to popular songs we like ranging from folk ballads and pop from 1950’s to present day.
