Our UKULELE group began seven years ago and during those years we have come a long way. We now have 18 members who mostly began with no experience of playing the ukulele and most had never played any musical instrument at all. There is no need to learn how to read music, which certainly helps.
We often play in public, mainly at charity events. It’s great fun and we soon overcome our nerves when everyone joins in with the singing.
New members are always welcomed and learn at their own speed. Come along and listen at one of our sessions and have a chat to any of our friendly members.
We meet every Wednesday morning. Our official start time is 10.30am till midday although recently we have started at 10am for those who want to learn new strums or ‘picks’
