This Cultural Explorers group gives members a chance to share their ‘wish lists’ of places they would like to visit as a group to learn about the culture, history and traditions of a place, as members have done twice already, going to Italy and learning to cook Italian food, paint watercolours, and learn about local crafts such as pottery- and jewellery-making.
Members can contact me at email@example.com to share their interests and places they would like to visit, and I will pass their message along to the group.
When, say half a dozen members are interested in a specific trip, I would do some research and those interested will meet up to explore options.
The trips wouldn’t be U3A sponsored and you would each need your individual travel insurance.
You can contact me as above to add your name to the group. You only need to respond to the trips you are interested in, which will cut down on e-mail traffic.
Below are the cultural trips* we are currently exploring – yes, including the Italian trip, third time’s a charm!
*I have included here some Discovery trips around the UK – Scotland, Wales and Guernsey to see if there is any interest. Obviously British culture is something we know, so the focus of these trips is primarily scenic and historic.
Please get in touch via email (firstname.lastname@example.org ) if you would like to join us.
